'The Last Time in the Void',  I was inspired by the movie 'Enter the void'. That's a very dark, but deep meaning thing.

1994. Olga Kalashnikova.

In 90th After the collapse of the Soviet Union, my city was very popular for the bandits and bullies. Being a gangster In those days, it can be said - it was fashionable. In the streets there were bullies in sportswear, more important people rode in cars with tinted windows, worn by stylish shirts, pants or jeans, and always dark sunglasses. Groups of these people were enemies, and shooting could be even in dark courtyards in center of my city. Wild times, and the man had to look very seriously and cool.

Then I was little girl, and the many things I do not remember, but my family photos and stories open up my eyes to that "era". Today the town is beautiful and quiet,  bandits are too old or dead or businessmen, and  at night  on the streets tourists walk from different countries.
I photographed my friend. Her family name is Kalashnikova - like a gun, her character is strong and hard, her heart soft, and the figure here... - the figure of faithful girlfriend of the Russian gangster from the 90's.
